PHOTOS: N11 horror crash claims one
One person has lost their life following a horrific smash.
Just before 5am on Friday morning a truck and a taxi collided on the N11 by Tigerskloof.
The taxi was being towed by a car.
Sadly, a passenger in the truck was trapped as the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The passenger was declared dead on scene.
Spokesperson for ER24 Newcastle, Jan-Henk van Vuuren confirmed the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
“The driver was taken to Mediclinic Newcastle,” he said.
Fortunately the occupants of the car were not injured.
The cause of the incident is unclear at this stage.
