21-year-old woman raped by man promising employment
The suspect apparently arrived to find the victim home alone where he later raped her.
Police are investigating the rape of a 21-year-old woman on January 10 at around 10.30am.
It is alleged the victim was promised employment by the suspect.
The culprit instructed the victim to have a copy of her Identity Document ready for him to collect at her home in KwaMathukusa.
The suspect apparently arrived to find the victim home alone where he later raped her.
Police issued the following safety tips to residents:
-Verify the authenticity of the job offered.
-Never disclose your account information or ID number to anyone.
-Verify your employment at the Department of Labour.
-Report anyone attempting to ‘sell’ government jobs.
