SOME good news. The private contractor who will be fixing pot holes has started, and NO he did not fix the pot holes for ANC party.

He was asked to fix WEST street SOUTH street and MARKET street first before the schools start because of the heavy traffic.

The plan is to do the worst areas first, working from the busiest roads to the outer areas. This is a huge task but it will be done this time.

The rebuilding process of UTRECHT street has also started. A meeting with all the business owners in UTRECHT street will soon be held to work out the best way to do the job without causing too much disruption.

The problem with the water has been caused by algae in KLIPFONTEIN dam. We are trying to solve the problem and the help of an expert has been called in. Hopefully he can provide the solution, however the water is safe to drink.

The telephones are also working again and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. What happened was that lightning damaged the system. Repairs could not be started before the insurance sent an assessor. Because of the holidays he only came in the middle of January, therefore the delay. It may sound like a tall story but those are the facts.
