After Tannie Evita’s #CommitYourSelfie campaign against corruption and pessimism in SA developed into a tsunami of support on Twitter @TannieEvita, with Selfies being emailed to EvitaSelfie@gmail.com, Evita was inspired to write the lyrics to an anthem.
With parliament reopening and President Jacob Zuma’s State of the Nation address scheduled for tomorrow, February 12, timing couldn’t be better for the release of an anthem penned by Evita Bezhuidenhout.
After Tannie Evita’s #CommitYourSelfie campaign against corruption and pessimism in SA developed into a tsunami of support on Twitter @TannieEvita, with Selfies being emailed to EvitaSelfie@gmail.com, Evita was inspired to write the lyrics to an anthem.
Karen Zoid and Paul Morrissey have arranged the music and recorded the anthem called A Song for Tomorrow, with fellow artists Zolani Mahola, choirs and other stars, just in time for the opening of Parliament this Thursday 12th February and the President’s State of the Nation address.

The visuals celebrate the rainbow nation in all its colours, genders, ages and classes. Added to this is a selection of public contributions sent to Evita via Twitter, email and other social highways.
All South Africans are encouraged to join the national call to action by taking a selfie of themselves holding a sign that states #CommitYourSelfie and saying what part of their lives they want to see enriched by all the money corruptly lost, to be paid back – so that health, welfare, education, children, homes, hospitals, schools, transport, justice, safety, environment, electricity, water and hundreds of other pillars of our society can benefit for all in a better future for all.
