Ringing in the Chinese New Year in style
This year’s festivities will commence with a mini fireworks display for good luck. Traditional dancers will perform at the main entrance of the casino at 5pm.
Blackrock Casino and the Newcastle Chinese Chamber will mark the Year of the Goat for the Chinese New Year on February 28.
“Last year we welcomed many visitors to the New Year’s celebration,” said Blackrock Casino’s Marketing Manager, Veneshrie Chetty. “I hope we can encourage many more people, both young and old, to come to Blackrock and join the Chinese community in celebrating their new year.”

Guests will then enjoy a private gala dinner at the exhibition hall.
Entertainment will be provided by the D&C Company. Lucky draws and a karaoke machine will be at the disposal of guests.
