57-year-old arrested for dagga possession
The dagga was packed in 5 bags with a combined weight of around 100kg
Police made an arrest for possession of drugs in the New Stand area of Ematsheni on Wednesday.
This after Ematsheni SAPS received information that dagga was allegedly being delivered to a house in the area at around midday.
Police went out to the house to investigate and after a thorough search of the property, the officers found several bags of dagga hidden in a maize field.
A 57-year-old man was arrested and faces charges of possession of dagga. He appeared in the Bergville Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Thursday).
The dagga was packed in 5 bags with a combined weight of about 100kg and an estimated street value of approximately R100,000.
