Minors guilty of murder
It was established that Buthelezi, who lived alone, had been strangled with an electrical cord. A case of murder was opened at eMondlo Police Station.
TWO juveniles were convicted of murder at Nqutu Regional Court on Monday, March 16 and sentenced to four years imprisonment, according to a media release by eMondlo Police Station.
The two minors, 16 and 17 years old respectively, murdered 55 year old Anna Buthelezi on May 30, 2014 in the Mkhumbane area of eMondlo. eMondlo police were called to the scene at approximately 10:00pm on the night of the murder, where they discovered the lifeless body of the deceased.
It was established that Buthelezi, who lived alone, had been strangled with an electrical cord. A case of murder was opened at eMondlo Police Station.
After investigation, one suspect was arrested at eMondlo. His co-accused was later arrested by Detective Warrant Officer, FP Zikalala in Maseru, Lesotho.
