Robbers target hitchhikers

According to Captain Shooz Magudulela, police spokesperson, the suspects were travelling in a grey Toyota Avanza with false NKR and NN registration numbers.

Three hitch-hikers were recently robbed by six ‘benefactors’ in separate incidents.

One person was robbed of R1 200 in KwaMathukuza. The second victim was robbed of R4 000 while hitch-hiking on the Memel Road and a third victim was robbed of

R1 500 on the N11, under the Ncandu bridge.

According to Captain Shooz Magudulela, police spokesperson, the suspects were travelling in a grey Toyota Avanza with false NKR and NN registration numbers.

The men were armed with firearms and considered dangerous.

“The public need to be cautious and should not attempt to confront the men,” Captain Magudulela warned.
