Appeal to the community
Police officials have once against urged community members to come forward if they believe their children may have been one of the suspect’s victims.
Further information regarding the alleged child molester has come to light.
Previous charges of child molestation were dropped after parents did not allow the children involved to testify in court.
In the previous case, it was alleged that the suspect had been preying on pupils from the Ncandu Combined School, on the outskirts of Newcastle.
Sources revealed the case had been based on allegations that the man had been picking up pupils walking home.
“He would offer the children lifts. When they got into his car, he would exchange sexual favours with them,” alleged the source.
In the most recent case, leading to his arrest, sources alleged the man had in fact been visiting schools daily.
In fact, many people including pupils have been able to recognise the suspect due to the amount of time he had spent trying to attract the young pupils.
Community members have described the alleged actions of the suspect as ‘sick’, ‘vile’, ‘horrifying’ and ‘disgusting’.
Police sources described the suspect as seemingly being ‘closed off from society’, and the nature his work might have played a role.
