FROM March 25 to March 28, Utrecht Primary School hosted the Nashua Sports Week at their school.
Four hundred children participated in a well organised tournament that offered rugby, hockey and netball disciplines. Our first team hockey girls played five matches. Our first game was against Veld and Vlei where we had a convincing win of 4 – 0. The next day we drew 0 – 0 against NRS and lost 2 – 0 against Utrecht, who were eventually the gold medalists in the A pool hockey section. We drew 0 – 0 against Paulpietersburg and lost 2 – 1 to Lucas Meyer’s second team. All our girls played exceptionally well and showed tremendous potential. Well done, girls. You proved that the Michaelis hockey team is certainly no pushover!
Easter sale: On Tuesday, March 31, Michaelis held their annual Easter Sale. The tables in the hall were adorned with many different, beautifully embellished and decorated Easter eggs. The sale went extremely well and we would like to thank all our hardworking parents, led by the dedicated Mrs Simin Hariri, for their time, effort and input. We would also like to thank you, the public, for your continued support, it is much appreciated!
