Update: Security guards to appear in court for Plaza murders

4 security guards will appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday) after a brutal attack on 2 robbery suspects at the Plaza shopping complex on Saturday morning.

Police say that the security guards, aged between 21 and 55, were arrested shortly after the assault.

2 men were beaten with sticks and stones, and died at the scene.

The suspects were arrested shortly after the attack and have been charged with 2 counts of murder.
