One dead and suspect missing in early morning collisions
The driver fled the scene of the crash, but the police have since narrowed down the suspect list.
Two collisions this morning have left the police questioning the honesty of community members.
The first collision occured on the corner of Cerise and Draper Street.
It is believed that the driver of the vehicle had been travelling along Draper Street at a high speed, before veering off the road and into the Lennoxton Primary School fence.
Police sources suspect the driver of the vehicle was under the influence at the time of the collision.
The driver fled the scene of the crash, but police have since narrowed down the suspect list.
The second collision left one person dead, a second injured, and a third victim unhurt, after a driver allegedly did not stop at the Alcockspruit and N11 intersection.
“This intersection is becoming an issue for authorities, and many lives have been lost here. We need to put up better lighting in the area, and include speed bumps for all four areas of the intersection,” claimed police sources.
