NATIONAL NEWS: 60-year-old woman run over by garbage truck
The woman sustained 'crush' injuries as well as fractures to both her legs and pelvis.

A 60-year-old woman sustained serious injuries to her legs and pelvis after she was run over by a garbage truck on Regina Road, Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the patient lying on the side of the road. The truck driver had pulled over a few metres away.
“Paramedics assessed the patient and found she had sustained severe crush injuries as well as fractures to both her legs as well as her pelvis,” claimed ER24 media authors.
The patient was stabilised on scene and advanced life support was provided.
She was later transported to Greys Hospital for further urgent treatment.
The patient allegedly failed to notice the oncoming garbage truck and proceeded to cross the road.
Police investigations continue.
