Burglaries increase begs for concern
According to the source, there was no denying house burglaries were on the increase, and while police and security team interventions are in place, there is still cause for concern.

This is the message from sources after four homes were broken into last weekend. According to the sources, one of the homes was burgled between 9am and 9.30am, and a number of cellphones stolen.
Two other homes were broken into during the evenings, in which tools and other quick-fix items such as DVD machines were taken. In the fourth incident, one suspect was nearly apprehended by his victim after he broke into a local hotel. The victim apparently stumbled across the suspect mid-burglary and gave chase.
The suspect allegedly got away with a set of keys and a cellphone. According to the source, there was no denying house burglaries were on the increase, and while police and security team interventions are in place, there is still cause for concern.
“We would like to advise the community to exercise caution with their homes. Ensure no-one aside from the residents of the house know how to access the house, and all security measures you place must be kept a secret,” pleaded the source.
Concentrations of these burglaries have been noted as areas of concern; Aviary Hill, Hutten Heights, Central and Lennoxton. Streets in which concern appeared to be growing include Coronation Road and Gazel Avenue.
