During the last week of the first term Ichthus pulled out all the stops for preparing a lovely morning treat to all the dear grandparents!
Every class from Grade RR to 7 prepared a special item for the event and there was much excitement on the day, from both the learners, and grandparents. Items such as The Crucifixion, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, line dancing, The Old Green Machine, Old MacDonald and a Flag Praise Dance were enjoyed by all who attended.
The school choir, consisting of a record amount of learners this year, sang joyful songs such as “Hineh matov”, ” Daar kom die Alibama” and ” Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind”.
The principal of Ichthus, Mrs Helena Viljoen, would like to thank all the grandparents and friends of the school who attended this function.
She expresses her gratitude towards the teachers and learners for preparing such a wonderful variety of items and would like to congratulate the parents who organised and assisted with the delicious meal that was presented.
Thank you to Esmé Willemse and her team who organised the whole event.
The school continues praying for the precious grandparents who play such an important role in the lives of their grandchildren.
May God bless them!
