Vryheid Landbou High School – Striving towards greatness through positive practice

THE past week has seen the return of all Landbouers at the start of the second term.

During this week a number of events have taken place that required the learners to once again do their best in sport. A warm thanks goes out to the learners and teachers that took part in the Autumn School this past Easter vacation.

Landbou would also like to congratulate the rugby boys that participated in the rugby week that was held at Vryheid High School. They won all their matches and won prizes for the most captivating rugby played and Sibusiso Ntombela won the prize for the most points to be scored.

The netball players also participated in Zululand trials. During these trials that were held on Wednesday, April 15, five of our learners were chosen. We show our sincere gratitude as we congratulate the following learners on their achievement: Saneme Novela; Sensiwe Hadebe; Diana Mngomezulu; Spheyena Dube and Sphelele Ngwenya.

On the hockey field the ladies also did not disappoint and showed great courage while having trials. Three hockey players were chosen. They are Luyanda Khanyile, Ntandoyenkosi Mncube and Zipho Msibi.

Although it is only the start of the school term it is already buzzing with activity. Students participated in the Blood Drive on Thursday, April 16, donating their blood to the Blood Bank. It was also an eventful day for grade 10 and 11 learners with Agricultural Management Practice as a subject, as they once again visited the farm for dehorning practices.

Landbou would also like to send out a reminder to all parents and guardians interested that the Open Day will take place on May 30.
