LANDBOU School participated in the winter sports recently against Vryheid High.
Matches were played in good spirit. It was also the first time that the Netball first teams played against each other. A big thanks to Vryheid High for their hospitality and congratulations to all the winning teams. Congratulations to our Second Rugby Team for their win.
The matriculants also had an opportunity to take part in a Brahman Course which was held on Thursday, April 23. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Mahne and the Brahman Club for the invitation. The pupils learned a lot and enjoyed the day.
On Tuesday, April 21, Fekile Khubeka, who is a representative of Food and Trees for Africa, visited the school. Fekile visited our farm and our vegetable garden. The learners gave feedback to her on how they go about preparing the beds, the usage of compost in preparation and also the planting of different vegetables to provide the hostel with fresh vegetables. Fekile gave us hints and she will assist us in preparing new beds, which will prevent moisture loss.
We are also very excited about the visit of the AGRISETAS on May 13! We hope to establish a working relationship with them and get accreditation for skills our learners obtain when they are doing their AGRI and ECHO practices.
