Help needed to trace “mentally challenged” man’s family
He was unable to furnish his address or any other details, besides the fact that he comes from the Durban area
Ladysmith police need the public’s help in tracing the family of a man who stumbled into Roosboom early last year.
During the course of February last year, a man in his early 30s arrived at a residence in the Roosboom area on the outskirts of Ladysmith. He seemed exhausted and was unable to communicate very clearly. Identifying himself as Johannes Mojalife, he was offered accommodation by Roosboom residents.
The following day, it became clear that the man had a speech problem (he is unable to pronounce his words properly) and that he may be mentally challenged. He was unable to furnish his address or any other details, besides the fact that he comes from the Durban area.
The people with whom he is currently living have approached Ladysmith police to help them locate the man’s family. An appeal is made to the public, especially those living in the Durban area, to assist Ladysmith SAPS in locating the man’s next-of-kin.
