A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged with possession of drugs after members of the Crime Prevention Unit requested a search of the man.
The members were performing routine duties on Wednesday, June 3 at about 12.30pm when they noticed a suspicious-looking male at the corner of Harding and Alfred streets.
After a search of the man, police recovered two mandrax tablets, half of another mandrax tablet, a quarter mandrax tablet and 14 straws of whoonga.
The man was arrested and appeared in the Estcourt Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 6 and the case was remanded for Thursday, June 11 for further investigation.
