Vryheid High School – Don’t mess with VHS
We are proud that four students from VHS have attended the South African trials and have successfully made the South African Karate Team. They will soon take part in an upcoming international tournament in September. We are very proud of these learners.
THE karate students who are enrolled in VHS have had a successful tournament and have performed exceptionally well.
Abdullah Jasat, Hasan Amra, Leeshen Bhoonpershad and Zaakir Hoosen have all been placed in the top eight in the country for their age groups. In March they represented Vryheid in a provincial tournament. This month (June) they have represented NKZN in a national tournament. We are proud that four students from VHS have attended the South African trials and have successfully made the South African Karate Team. They will soon take part in an upcoming international tournament in September. We are very proud of these learners.
We are planning a winter dance as a fundraiser for our sport on August 1, the day after the matric farewell. We would like to invite all the parents to join in on the fun and support our school’s sport. Tickets will be selling at R100 pp and will include a spit braai and pudding.
