BREAKING NEWS: Charges against SEMR’s Danny Bisnath provisionally withdrawn
His attorney categorically stated 'no murder charges have been preferred against Mr Bisnath'.
Security boss, Rajnath Bisnath and his attorney, Kamlesh Gurlal, met exclusively with the Newcastle Advertiser yesterday afternoon.
On June 15, the fraud charges against Mr Bisnath were ‘provisionally withdrawn’ in the Commercial Crimes Court in Durban.
“The South African Police Service failed to complete their investigations timeously,” read a separate statement issued by Mr Gurlal.
Although the charges have been withdrawn for now, Mr Gurlal indicated they may be reinstated at a later stage.
He categorically stated ‘no murder charges have been preferred against Mr Bisnath’.
“Mr Bisnath is actively involved in the security industry and assured the community he will continue to excel and deliver uncompromised service in future,” concluded Mr Gurlal.
Mr Bisnath expressed his gratitude to his customers, friends and family who supported him during the ‘ordeal’.
He thanked his legal team, Mr Gurlal and Advocate C.J van Schalkwyk, for their efforts.
We’ll keep you posted as the story unfolds.
