20 students rewarded with bursaries
The students received full scholarships from the government of India and will jet off to India for 3 years to study
20 students from Ladysmith, Bergville and surrounding areas were rewarded with bursaries this morning (Saturday) at the Crown Hotel.
The bursaries will allow them to study overseas. The students have received full scholarships from the government of India and they will jet off to India for 3 years to study.
Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality will assist with visas, passports, processing of applications, transport to the airport and paying for the students’ landing fees, which amounts to about R7000.
A short programme was rolled out at the Crown Hotel this morning, which was attended by the students and their parents, as well as council and municipal officials.
After the programme, a scrumptious lunch was served to all.
