3 people were killed in two separate shootings in the Burford area on Monday, July 27.Both attacks took place in the early hours of the morning.
In the first incident, a man was shot in his room while in the company of his girlfriend. She was not injured. A short distance away, in another house, two males were shot while they were asleep.
All 3 victims were shot in the head.
It is suspected that the incidents are linked, but the motive is unclear at this stage.
Ladysmith police are investigating cases of murder.
The three deceased have been identified as Nhlanhla Sifiso Mabaso (24), Siphosihle Ndumiso Cele (19) and Sandile Kwanele Thwala (26).
