UPDATE: Meter taxi and driving school truck collide in CBD
It is alleged one of the drivers skipped a red robot.

A light motor vehicle collided with a driving school truck at the corner of Kirkland and Ayliff streets Tuesday, August 25.
No serious injuries were sustained in the incident. Mercy Care paramedics treated and transported one patient who had fractured her left leg, to Madadeni Provincial Hospital.
The exact cause of the accident is unclear. However, an on-scene witness came forward with the following statement:
“The meter taxi was in front of me on Kirkland Street. The robot was green then, so the taxi turned left into Ayliff Street, and I was going to turn in behind the taxi. Next thing I see the driving school truck drive straight into the taxi from Ayliff Street, and I think he skipped the robot. I avoided the collision and continued straight on Kirkland street, the robot was still green at that time.”
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
