Good samaritans give good sight to youngsters
New hope and new sight for youngsters.

Two youngsters have clearer and brighter futures ahead of them, thanks to the kind heartedness of a few good Samaritans.
After his family home was destroyed in a ferocious fire, Siphesihle Dlamini was lucky to be alive. His glasses, however, were destroyed in the blaze.
Though all seemed lost, there was hope in sight for Siphesihle. Dannhauser Municipality’s Disaster Manager and head of NPO, Tiffany’s Angels of Mercy, Peter Graham, heard about the plight of the youngster and immediately set out to help him see clearly again.
Mr Graham contacted Torga Optical, asking if they would be able to sponsor a pair of glasses to the youngster. The Newcastle-based company was happy to assist and asked Mr Graham to bring in Siphesihle for tests.
While helping the youngster get new glasses, Mr Graham came across another youngster who was in desperate need of spectacles. Sboniso Buthelezi, a learner from Durnacol, was suffering in his school work. The reason was that he couldn’t see the board.
Through his NPO, Tiffany’s Angels of Mercy, Mr Graham contacted local businesses who would be willing to assist him in getting a pair of glasses for Sboniso. Three businesses answered the call and helped pay towards a pair of glasses for the youngster.
With everything arranged, Mr Graham took the two youngsters to Torga Optical where they were given a new look on life. Friendly optometrist, Nzuzo Nxumalo and Sharon Govender ensured that the specs fitted to perfection and that the youngsters were ready to face the future.
Mr Graham thanked management and staff of Torga Optical, Newcastle for the donation of the glasses for Siphesihle and the businesses who contributed towards the second pair for Sboniso.
