ON WEDNESDAY, August 19, we hosted our annual ‘Poetry and Art’ function.
This year we had to move to the school hall as the other venue was no longer big enough – evidence of the growth of this event.
The learners presented their own poems and there was definitely enough good material to publish a book. The delightful host, Sandile Xaba, led us through the program with great sophistication. Our sincere appreciation to all the mothers who provided the drinks and eats. Sandile, your legacy will live on!
Congratulations to Devin Aspden who will be going on a tour to Italy in October as member of the ITEC SA Platteland u/19 rugby team. We trust you will enjoy this tour and return an enriched rugby player and person!
Tennis against Newcastle: After a tough game of tennis against Newcastle on Friday, August 21, VHS lost 5:7.
Congratulations to Mr Grobbelaar who has been selected again to represent Mpumalanga this season. Well done!
