Truck and car collide head-on, on N11
In total, 5 people were injured in the crash
A truck and a Mazda collided head-on on the N11 this afternoon (Saturday).
The truck was travelling from Newcastle towards Ladysmith when the collision happened. The car was travelling in the opposite direction.
3 occupants in the Mazda were injured, as well as 2 from the truck. They were treated at the scene by ER24 and EMRS paramedics.
1 lane was open to traffic and the other closed due to police and paramedics working on the scene.
The truck crashed through a concrete bridge and was completely wrecked.

Traffic passed the scene with caution.
