Update: Dogs hung in tree

According to local police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig, no case docket has been opened at this stage regarding the 2 dogs that were hanged in the Driefontein area.
The dogs were strung up in a tree on Sunday morning and left to slowly suffocate to death.
A passerby saw the appalling scene and contacted the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL), who responded and cut the dogs down from their ghastly gallows.
According to Annamarie Koen from the AACL, they have decided not to open a case as yet due to not having enough information regarding who the perpetrators of this cruel act are.
However, they are not giving up trying to find out who did this and make them pay for their horrendous deeds.
“We will not tolerate this kind of cruelty towards animals. Whoever did this should know that we will not rest until they have been identified and face the full might of the law,” stressed Annamarie.
