Londeka Sithole, a security guard at Estcourt Water Works was on duty with her colleague who she allegedly did not share a good relationship with.

She sustained minor injuries from being beaten with a steel pipe while helpless inside the hole. Other security guards on duty came to Londeka’s rescue and pulled her out of the hole. The matter was reported and a case was registered at the Estcourt Police Station.

An investigation resulted in 42-year-old Sibongile Mayisela being arrested on charges of assault. She appeared before the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, September 3.
