2 arrested for dagga possession

Both accused appeared in the Ezakheni Magistrate's Court, where they paid admission of guilt fines

A 56-year-old male and a 53-year-old female have been arrested by Ezakheni police for possession of dagga.

The 2 were arrested in different incidents, both in the Ezakheni area.

In the first arrest, Ezakheni Visible Policing officers acted on information and searched a premises in the Mkhumbane area. They recovered a plastic bucket containing loose dagga on the premises. The dagga weighed in at around 366 grams.

In the second arrest, police were conducting stop and search operations in the same area. The second suspect was nabbed with a plastic bag containing loose dagga weighing in at around 280 grams.

Both accused appeared in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where they paid admission of guilt fines.
