Don’t forget to soar with Newcastle

The National Hot Air Balloon Championships run from October 6 to 10.

Hosted in the Free State for a number of years, the championships moved base to Newcastle, and have become a huge tourism highlight for our town.

This year, the marketing is set to be massive.

Organiser, Johan Pieters explained national media, magazine reporters, photographers and film crews from kykNET would watch the event kick off each day.

Organisers are still looking for helpers within the community, to assist at the event in both the mornings and afternoons.

Own transport between various points is a necessity.
