An Audi crashed and burst into flames on Sunday on the Helpmekaar Road near St Chads.
The Audi was travelling from town towards Ezakheni when it crashed and burnt.
The vehicle veered off the road up an embankment onto rocks on the road side.
The occupants of the vehicle fled the scene and were nowhere to be seen when emergency services arrived..
The Ladysmith Fire Department and Sharaj Ambulance Services responded to the scene.
The fire was put out quickly by the fire-fighters.
No injuries were sustained as the occupants left the crash scene.
