The town of Memel has been left in a state of shock after the news of a double murder have been confirmed by the Memel SAPS. Community members, Charlotte Viviers and Eric Oosthuizen  – owner of the Memel Petrol Station has been brutally murdered. Mrs. Vivier’s husband Viv have been seriously injured.

The incident happened at about 17:30pm yesterday  when Viv arived home. The attackers waited for him to enter before they made their move.

At about 08:30 this morning the domestic worker alerted the police when she gained access to the house finding Viv tied up and Charlotte in the sitting room already passed away. Initially, the Police alerted the media to be on the lookout for Eric and his white Colt bakkie Reg BYC 954 FS.

However Erics body has been discovered in one of the outside buildings later this morning. He has also been murdered. The Memel SAPS is reqeusting the community to please be on the lookout for the white Colt Bakkie registration number BYC 954 FS.
