Exercising a helping hand in Dannhauser
Community urged to participate in future fun walks.

The Dannhauser Helping Hands (DHH) committee hosted a 5 km fun walk on Saturday, November 21, from South Park grounds via the old Durnacol golf course, and back to the South Park Grounds, to raise funds.
The fun day saw walkers as young as six, (Fariha Hoosen) and as old as 82, (S Kandhailal), taking part. The support for the initiative was good and the DHH team plans to make a weekly event so the community can come and support them.
Dannhauser Mayor, J Phakathi, also took part in the fun walk and showed the community that all should all be pro-active and participate in such events as whatever funds are raised will be given back to the community. Prizes and medals were also given to the first child, senior citizen, man and woman entrant who crossed the finish line.
“We urge the community of Dannhauser to come and participate in the fun walk and have two hours of fun and exercise at the same time. Hope to see many Dannhauser residents at the next fun walk,” said Farzanah Dookie of the DHH.
Walk sponsors included Ahmad Vawda from OK, Dannhauser and Radesh Maharaj from Newcastle Air Products.
