Winterton without water
The cause of the problem is still unknown
Winterton has been without water for the last two days.
According to insiders, Eskom has cut power to uThukela pumps in the area after uThukela failed to pay.
At this stage, nobody at uThukela District Municipality is explaining if they bungled payments to Eskom or just did not have the money, or are even denying this is the issue.
All attempts to contact uThukela have failed.
So essentially, the cause of the problem is still unknown, other than the town has been without water for two days.
Residents are up in arms.
