Breaking News: Farm attack along Driefontein road

The K9 Unit is heading towards the scene with tracker dogs to catch the spoor

A farm attack has taken place along the Driefontein road.

Police and Sharaj Ambulance Services are on scene. According to initial reports, a gunman armed with a 9mm pistol attempted to tackle a farmer. Luckily, the farmer, who was in his house at the time behind a security gate, spotted the man drawing his firearm and managed to dive behind a wall for cover.

The gunman, realizing he could not hit the farmer, fled. The farmer drew his own firearm, but the gunman was already out of sight. He immediately alerted Secure SA, who co-ordinated a rapid response.

The K9 Unit is heading towards the scene with tracker dogs to catch the spoor.
