Councillor attacked and robbed at Matthews Farm
The robbers fled on foot, leaving their two victims lying injured on the ground
A local councillor and a female companion were assaulted by 2 assailants this evening at Matthews Farm.
The duo were allegedly beaten with a rock. They were robbed of their money, cell-phones and other valuables.
The unknown male attackers then fled on foot, leaving their two victims lying injured on the ground.
The robbery victims were stabilised by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.
The Dog (K9) Unit was called out to the scene.
