Lightning kills man at Stratford Farm

Lightning brings tragedy

A 40-year-old man died after a lightning strike at Stratford Farm during yesterday’s afternoon storm.

The incident occurred about 6km from Dundee.

Paramedics have had another busy night in the Umzinyathi district.

Paramedics treated at least 15 other patients from separate lightning related incidents in the district. Most of these patients were in a serious condition and were transported to hospitals in the district.

This was the second night in a row that paramedics from the KZN Department of Heaths Emergency Medical Services responded to incidents related to a storm in the Umzinyathi District.
