Utrecht robbers seized by the Vryheid Watch
Things came to a head at Engen filling station in Church Street, where Neighbourhood Watch members descended upon the two criminals, blocking their vehicle in and alerting the SAPS of the situation.
A QUICK response by Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch members and SAPS led to the arrest of two hapless criminals on Wednesday.
After receiving a tip off that Spar in Utrecht had been robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and the culprits were headed for Vryheid in a red VW Golf, Neighbourhood Watch members were deployed to strategic positions along the Dundee road to monitor the situation.
Eventually the suspects came into sight, driving composedly as they unknowingly passed the Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch members who were carefully monitoring their migration as they entered Vryheid.

Positive identification was confirmed based on surveillance footage from Spar and the two men were arrested and taken into custody by Utrecht SAPS.
