A 43-year-old woman was arrested on December 2, at about 10am in the Depot area of Wembezi.

The suspect was arrested at a residence after police acted on a tip off. She was found in possession of 6.8 kilograms of dagga.

The dagga was packaged in small parcels and has a street value of around R7 000.

The suspect was released after she opted to pay an Admission of Guilt fine. Later that day at about 10pm, a 22-year-old man was arrested in the Shayamoya area of Ntabamhlophe for possession of dagga.

Visible policing members found the man in possession of a few grams of dagga. He faces a charge of being in possession of dagga and appeared briefly in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court.
