Man killed during armed robbery

A Dannhauser man was shot and killed during an armed robbery gone wrong.

Dannhauser SAPS are investigating the murder of a 34-year-old man.

This follows an incident where the victim was attacked by four armed perpetrators at his shop on January 7 at about 10pm.

The suspects allegedly gained access to the store using a hammer, and proceeded to shoot at the victim and his brothers.

The victim, later identified as Khan Mohammed, sustained a gunshot wound to the chin.

He was later rushed to a nearby hospital, but passed away en route.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene with cash and airtime to the value of about R40 000.
