Vroeg Woensdagoggend, Januarie 6, het die prefekte vertrek na Clubventure, Ballito, vir ‘n kamp propvol opwinding. Die prefekte het ‘n kans gehad om hul nuwe prefekouers, meneer en mevrou Visser, te leer ken sowel as hul kollegas in hierdie belangrike leierskap rol wat hulle by Hoërskool Dundee moet vervul.
The organisers had a whole programme planned out and the prefects were kept busy from dawn until dusk. They were divided into four groups (blue, red, yellow and green) where they competed against each other in physical and mental challenges.
Thursday afternoon the prefects were divided into two groups where the girls went on to play paintball and three boys (Ruben, Ashley and Trishen), accompanied by Mr Visser, braved the heights of the zip-line. After about 2 hours the boys went to play paintball and three girls (Liza-Maé, Hafsa and Zhen Lee), accompanied by Mrs Visser, went on to zip-line.
Die afgelope paar dae was wonderlik en die skool wil graag vir meneer Vogel dankie sê dat hy met die vervoer uitgehelp het sowel as Clubventure vir hul wonderlike beplanning en organisering van ‘n uitstekende toer. Die prefekte is nou beslis gereed vir ‘n besonderse nuwe jaar vol opwinding en leierskap.
New Staff
The school would like to welcome Ben Strydom and Karla van Eeden to Dundee High. Mr Strydom is going to teach Business Studies and MissVan Eeden will be teaching Life Orientation and Arts and Culture.
Mr Strydom moved here all the way from Port Alfred. He is excited to teach at Dundee High and can’t wait to instill our core values (Strenuous Ardua Cendunt – hard work is rewarded and Respect, Honesty, Loyalty and Service) in the learners. He is also a huge fan of Rugby and a Sharks supporter.
Miss Van Eeden is an old scholar and will fit into the school system without any effort. She is a very grounded young lady with a passion for sport and art. We are excited to see what flavour they will add to our dynamic institution.
