BREAKING NEWS: IFP wins Ward 15 by-election
“Winning these elections is a very positive sign of what will happen in the coming local elections,” said Cllr Khumalo of the IFP.
The IFP will continue representing the Esigodini, Ward 15 area.
The party won yesterday’s by-elections with IFP candidate, Nestar Bukwani Manana, taking a whopping 1001 votes.
Chairman of the IFP in Abaqulusi, Cllr Michael Khumalo, attributed the success to the fact that the party had enough time to campaign for these elections and they used it wisely.
“Winning these elections is a very positive sign of what will happen in the coming local elections,” said Cllr Khumalo.
Although these results are yet to be confirmed by the IEC, the NFP came second with 563 votes and the ANC came last with 412.
The IFP dominated 5 out of the 6 voting stations in Ward 15.
