The start of a new school year can be a daunting challenge for any pupil, but even more so for the youngsters starting grade one!
The grade ones of St Gregory Primary School faced the challenge head-on with enthusiasm and courage.
Looking smart in their crisp new uniforms, they set out on their new adventure. Many of the learners attended grade R together at St Gregory and this made the transition to a new grade much easier.
Enrolment increased from 97 to 118 learners and this called for more educators to be employed. Three new educators joined the staff contingency: Ms Cato as the grade six teacher, Mrs Schauffer as the grade two teacher and Ms Schultz as the assistant in the grade RR class.

St Gregory also introduced uniforms for the grade R and RR classes.

The uniforms create a sense of pride and belonging, while still enabling the children to move and play freely.
