After a month of delays, motorists travelling on Jenkyn Street, Paradise can finally drive with ease.
A part of the road that was removed to attend to a burst pipe, was eventually re-surfaced and is deemed safe again for motorists.
On January 9, a burst pipe was reported and allegedly repaired, only to be reported for the second time the next day.
Two weeks after the repairs, part of the road was still demarcated with danger cones.
This posed a hazard to motorists, as the obstruction was situated at the intersection of Jenkyn and Indus streets.
Ward 4 councillor, Bertie Meiring, reported the problem and on January 27, municipal workers resurfaced the affected area.
