Discarded household refuse, building material and even a rotting animal carcass are what residents along Umfolozi Avenue near the Amcor Dam weir have to put up with.
The social ill of dumping has seemingly become the norm, as commuters carry on with their lives.
“We will attend to this problem immediately,” said Thisha Mhlanga, acting Strategic Executive Director.
Allegedly, homeless people contribute to the mess.
“Please revert to me if this problem is not attended to by next week,” requested Mr Mhlanga.
