The streets around the Moth Hall are today filled with parked municipal vehicles: from fire trucks, garbage vehicles, tractors and a bull dozer.
Municipal workers have gathered to voice their dissatisfaction over the current state of affairs at Endumeni Municipality which has been wracked with intrigue with the would-be suspension of a senior manager accused of nepotism and misconduct.
Mayor Mahaye was also in the meeting. Workers wanted to know why municipal manager, TP Biyela, has been suspended for almost three years while a court case drags on while Council resolved on Monday not to suspended the manager accused of ‘worse misdemeanours’.
They were also addressed by acting municipal manager, T Makhoba, who explained the procedure of job evaluations and the municipal organigram. Watch for updates.
