Incomplete road repairs are an eye sore that is prevalent in most parts of Estcourt.

These usually surface after a water pipe burst has been repaired by staff from Uthukela District Municipality and in most cases, the road surface is left piled high with sand, tar, concrete and pieces of pipe.

A resident photographed a collection of roads that are ruined due to water leak repairs, seeking answers about when the road will be repaired.

Uthukela District and Umtshezi municipalities were both asked to comment about the repair but no satisfactory response was received.

The district municipality failed to respond to questions and Umtshezi responded by saying they will not comment on photos that have no street names, although this was not the case and each photo was clearly titled with the relevant street name.
