This morning (Friday), a farmworker found a partially burnt body of an unknown man near the road at a farm in Van Reenen.
The deceased is described as being around 45 years of age and was wearing a cream and pink striped shirt with a cream-coloured pair of pants.
Van Reenen police are appealing to members of the community to assist with information regarding the identity of the man or information that could shed light on what happened.
DNA testing will be conducted to identify the man, and a postmortem will be performed to determine the cause of death and possible date of death.
