Umtshezi Municipality councillors and staff gathered on Friday, February 26 to hand over material and equipment as a form of assistance to local small, medium and micro enterprises (SMME’s) and co-operatives.

Each enterprise was from a different ward, some were local and the rest from the surrounding areas.

Amongst some of the items requested to run their enterprises were seedlings, sanding machines, watering cans, wool, fertilizer and wheel barrows.

The five groups of recipients and municipal officials gathered in front of the Civic Building in Harding Street for the handover.
